On March 31, 2006, we retired, LP Classic, our legacy interface. If you did not transition before March 31, you may have lost access to Loan Prospector. If you still need to transition, remember:

  • You'll need to talk with your loan origination system (LOS) vendor about updating your system to a LoanProspector.com interface.
  • You are responsible for implementing the necessary changes to transition to LoanProspector.com.
  • Depending on your organization, the transition process may require process redesign or training, which may take significant time and resources
  • If your business operations use Loan Prospector across multiple sourcing channels, including working with third-party originators, mortgage insurers or mortgage service providers, you'll need to transition all channels to LoanProspector.com.

Managing Your Pipeline Loans

For your pipeline loans, you have several options when your transition from LP Classic to LoanProspector.com. You can:

  • Resubmit loans originated through LP Classic through LoanProspector.com after your transition. When you resubmit an LP Classic pipeline loan to LoanProspector.com, your LOS will automatically take the data from the loan record in your LOS and build a request file in the new format. When you resubmit pipeline loans make sure the LP Key number is included so you don't incur additional fees
  • Or, complete the processing of your LP Classic loans after March 31, 2006 by resubmitting the loan through the LoanProspector.com web browser, www.LoanProspector.com, using the LP AUS Key Number from the original transaction in LP Classic. Be sure to use the original LP AUS Key Number to avoid incurring additional fees. Only loans that have been resubmitted following this process will be available in LoanProspector.com. In order to use this method, all employees within your organization who will need to access Loan Prospector via the browser must have individual user IDs and passwords. Sign up for Loan Prospector IDs and passwords.

If you were unable to transition to LoanProspector.com via your loan origination system (LOS) by March 31, you can continue to access LoanProspector.com via our web-browser access method available on www.LoanProspector.com. However, in order to use this method, you must sign up for Loan Prospector IDs and passwords for all individuals within your organization that will need to use Loan Prospector.
