Preparing for the Retirement of Loan Prospector® Versions 2.1, 2.0, and 2.0 One-Way on March 15, 2009November 6, 2008

On March 15, 2009, Freddie Mac will retire the following versions of Loan Prospector®:

  • Version 2.1 of the system-to-system access method (S2S2.1*)
  • Version 2.0 of the browser access method (2WWX2.0 and 2WDX2.0*)
  • Version 2.0 browser one-way access method (1W2.0*)

*Loan Prospector version numbers as they appear in the Results section on the Loan Prospector Feedback Certificate.

As part of our ongoing effort to ensure that we are providing the latest features in Loan Prospector, we are retiring these versions to focus our resources on the most current versions of Loan Prospector.

To help with the transition, beginning December 7, 2008, if you are using Loan Prospector version 2.1, 2.0 or 2.0 one-way, Loan Prospector will return the following new feedback message to notify you of the March 15, 2009, retirement of these versions:

ZC The Loan Prospector interface specification version used for this submission is being retired in Loan Prospector.  Transactions using this version will not process after March 2009.  Please contact your LOS vendor to update your interface version or go to LoanProspector.com for more information on approved LOS vendors and versions.


If you do not transition to a newer version of Loan Prospector, beginning March 15, 2009, you will receive the following error message on all submissions to Loan Prospector:

BQ LOS interface must be valid.  Please contact vendor.

Determining Your Loan Prospector Version Number

To get the most out of Loan Prospector and all it has to offer, it's important that you're using the latest version of Loan Prospector available. Review an overview of the different Loan Prospector versions for key features available in each.

You can find your current Loan Prospector version number in the Results section of your Loan Prospector Feedback Certificate. To ensure you have the latest version of Loan Prospector offered by verified Loan Prospector Loan Origination System (LOS) vendors:

  • Review our list of LOS vendors on LoanProspector.com. You'll find a complete list of LOS vendors, as well as the Loan Prospector access method and version available in the products they offer.
  • Contact your LOS vendor directly if they are not listed on LoanProspector.com to determine the timing and availability of their Loan Prospector interface.
